Why would the flyers trade claude giroux, the 4th highest point producer in the 2010's, for someone who's peak is a 2nd rounder? The flyers would want to get newhook and some picks for claude, being that he is an all star. He has somehow managed to be a very good player on a terrible Philadelphia flyers, so he would be great in colorado. overall, not enough value for the flyers, and the wrong type of value

They will trade Giroux, and ultimately Giroux holds the cards as he has a NMC. Sakic will not give up Newhook for Giroux, a more realistic scenario is Colorados 1st round pick 2023 and Jost or a prospect. Most Sakic would pay would be 2022 3rd round pick, 2023 1st round pick and Jost or a prospect. Ultimately it will depend on how desperate Sakic gets, and he is known to not get too desperate. I personally hope we can land Giroux, he would make my Avs that much more tougher, especially at faceoffs, we need that.
