*Explanations of trades*
Eller trade: the reason I think the leafs do this is because they what they are getting in elder is a guy that has been in the league for a long time and won a cup, and has had some playoff success. I think the caps propose the trade because they want to get a little younger and play a little faster they already have those core guys from the 2018 cup run so they don't need a guy like Ellers experience

Haglin: two words cap dump

Korpisalo: the caps need to address a goalie situation with two young goalies being inconsistent they need a older guy who can help them. Korpisalo's numbers don't look great but he is also not playing behind a great defense. with currently a backup role behind merzlikins I think korpisalo would be just fine in a goalie tandem with vitek or samsonov.

Thanks! as a frustrated caps fan I love Eller but man is his vision sometimes not great just holds the puck and holds the puck. Kerfoot would bring some energy that could maybe spark Sprong who has been a big disappointment who I thought was going to be great.
