But even with $1mil retained, u guys would still be overpaying him at $8mil per

The trade as it stands is fine from the Sabres perspective,
but i don’t think we’d be willing to retain any more $$$ than that

We aren’t really trying to get rid of Skinner,
as we’ll actually need his Cap hit to get to the floor the next couple years
