    Also that's a really bad trade for the Avs, there is no can't miss value there

    Really bad trade...? A young defencemen and two 1st overall high picks and a 2nd I think that's more then fair value

    Yes a really bad trade since its the Avs franchise Centre for a 2nd pairing Dman and some unknown values in draft picks.

    Avs turned down 3 1st round picks from the Flames to draft MacKinnon. They aren't moving him, there is a reason why every Avs beat writer laughed at the Edmonton Journals article. And why no other insider has even menionted it bc Jim Matheson is a terrible hockey writer.

    You are asking the Avs to change the face of their franchise. Its not a bunch of parts in order for them to do that. MacKinnon for Ekblad...something along those lines., no different than Seth Jones trade. Any other combo of players, picks, prospects. It doesnt really matter bc you are compensating quantity for quality.

    First off that's not even the worst trade, trading Tanev for Griffin Reinhart? Tanev is one of the best defenders in the game. Dallas isn't going to throw you a 1st for Edler. The Avs trade it would start with Joulevi not Hutton, Hutton is bottom pairing defender currently. Like coga16 said there going to want a key piece of same valune back like a Seth Jones etc, we don't have that.

    MacKinnon is not on the market. Duchene and Landeskog would be the players Colorado would consider moving. MacKinnon is still very young and that is something Colorado is not willing to part with.

    If the Avs could only keep one guy on their team it would be MacKinnon...he isnt going anywhere.
