Ya I doubt it as well, hence why I said in the description that not all players may be easy to get/are even available. Canucks would definitely need to put in a good offer for him that’s forsure!

I actually don’t think most of the players on this list are completely untouchable, but the asking price for many of them would probably be too steep for Van to pay. Still, fun to think about! Canucks are looking for youth, speed, and value contracts and I think a lot of these players fit that mold regardless of the likelihood in which they would actually be acquired!

What would be your offer for Foote considering he's 1 of only 3 NHL ready RD signed next year by TB and his defensive metrics are off the charts?

TB would be a challenging partner for Van because I know they don’t really have cap flexibility and Van doesn’t want to trade picks/young players right now. Im guessing Foote would have to be a part of a larger deal where the Canucks would have to send good player(s) that TB would feel could help them win now more than Foote, (which would be no easy task im sure) while also retaining most of their salaries/possibly taking additional contracts back so that they could fit in the cap.

They have 17 signed and about 7.5 mil space so it's tight but they could pretty much return the team as is minus Palat next year unless he want to stay and takes a deep discount..

And that’s why it probably would be so tough to acquire Foote, because his contract next year works perfectly for TB’s situation. Canucks would have to accommodate for this, while making it worthwhile for TBs’s pursuit for another cup (hence the need for a big deal, with probably multiple pieces being traded back and forth). No easy task!
