I have to agree with you, the ducks I kind of saw coming because their main duo (Getzlaf and Perry) was getting up there in age

Montreal: We knew that it was going to happen, we just didn’t know whether it would be that year or the next

Chicago: Let’s face it I knew it was going to happen very soon, all the signs were there (back to back early exits in 2016 and 2017, an aging big 4 and lack of depth)

It seems Babcock did more than ask, which absolutely crosses the line for me. He can be let into your personal life if you choose, not the other way around. I get the sense from the quotes he felt entitled to access the phones to check a players character, and did not give the players a choice.

So far this summer non-performance league headlines have been:

Coyotes arena failure
Galchenyuk (Kapanen too but way less) ending bloodlines
Possible gang sexual act charges for possibly more than 1 active player
Now this

On the good side I have to give Bedard credit. As a blues fan, I can say he has been the beacon of the future, positivity, and I am impressed. That’s it. Back to hating Chicago.
