Description
The player comparison is based on style of play not NHL projection
ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
1Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-
Shane Wright
Strengths-Insane vision and playmaking, great release and very high Hockey IQ, strong 2 way game, responsible defensively. Weaknesses - Sometimes lacks offensive drive NHL Comparison - Patrice Bergeron
2Logo of the Seattle Kraken-
Logan Cooley
Strengths - Fantastic 2 way game with both shooting and passing threat, great in the face off circle, strong and uses size well Weaknesses - Shot is not NHL ready especially the slap shot but not a big worry NHL Comparison - Alex Barkov
3Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-
Matthew Savoie
Strengths - Very fast with great all round skating, hands are very soft and has a great playmaking vision, serviceable shot Weaknesses - Protects as a W in the NHL due to lack of physicality. NHL Comparison - Johnny Gaudreau
4Logo of the New Jersey Devils-
Joakim Kemell
Strengths - Insane shot, especially the release, can score all types of goals, power play machine, fast, smooth hands Weaknesses - Defensively is a bit suspect and doesn’t always work very hard, potentially a little one dimensional NHL Comparison - Patrik Laine
5Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-
Brad Lambert
Position - C/RW Strengths - Rapid playmaker with nasty hands, excellent play driving ability, has shown flashes of brilliance in a high level league Weaknesses - Inconsistent and often lacks impact in his own end NHL Comparison - Brayden Point
6Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-
David Jiricek
Position RD/LD Strengths - Very solid in his own end, impeccable on the poke check/takeaway, very good shot especially the clapper, good passer, good at evading pressure, calming influence Weaknesses - Not the fastest, at times gets a little over adventurous but not often caught out NHL Comparison - Charlie McAvoy
7Logo of the San Jose Sharks-
Simon Nemec
Position - LD/RD Strengths - Deffensive zone rock, smooth skater, solid shot, very smart meaning he can effectively playmake, potential PP QB Weaknesses - Not really outstanding at any element, doesn’t always use size in the most effective way NHL Comparison - Jaccob Slavin
8Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-
Juraj Slafskovsky
Position - LW Strengths - Classic power forward who uses size very well, threat to shoot (very powerful) and to pass, solid on the PK, forechecking machine, nice hands Weaknesses - Sometimes lacks speed and drive to beat defenders, a touch naïve when attempting plays NHL Comparison - Blake Wheeler
9Logo of the Arizona CoyotesLogo of the Vancouver Canucks
Danila Yurov
Position - RW Strengths - All around offensive danger, great passer, quick and accurate release, high level hockey smarts, pretty solid 2 way player especially his positioning in the D zone Weaknesses - Lacks elite speed, shot is a little weak and needs work, hard to predict a Russian player due to MHL being poor league NHL Comparison - William Nylander
10Logo of the Ottawa Senators-
Frank Nazar
Position - RW/C Strengths - Great/sneaky goalscorer, tireless worker, nippy skater, excellent play driver Weaknesses - Project more as winger in NHL, not the best 2way or physical player NHL comparison - Sam Reinhart

12Logo of the Columbus Blue JacketsLogo of the Chicago Blackhawks

13Logo of the Calgary Flames-
Conor Geekie
Position - Center Strengths - Great size and physical shutdown ability, very powerful and accurate shot, size, great playmaking sense and vision. Weaknesses - Dosent use size in the right way, quite ineffective, poor skater for his level, sometimes lacks impact when playing with a star, lazy at times in his own zone NHL Comparison - Alex Tuch

Pavel Mintyukov
Position - LD/RD Strengths - Brilliant offensive defenseman, great power play QB, wicked shot from the point, great edges Weaknesses - Sometimes gets caught out in his own zone, not brilliant speed NHL Comparison - Rasmus Dhalin
15Logo of the Detroit Red WingsLogo of the Dallas Stars
Marco Kasper
Position C/LW Strengths - Plays bigger than his size, all around offensive threat, can play up and down the lineup, very versatile Weaknesses - Not the highest potential but to me seems to be a safe, solid pick NHL Comparison - Timo Meier

Isaac Howard
Position - LW Strengths - Very good goal scorer, quick hands and a killer release, great edges/cutting into the slot, uses defenders well to his advantage. Nemec: "potential PP QB ... NHL Comparison - Jaccob Slavin"

I think of the two (Jiricek and Nemec), Nemec is the more likely to be on a power play. But Jirieck is probably more comparable to Slavin.

Pure sniper. Plays with Eklund and Sharks will likely take him or Nazar around pick 14.
