The number one priority should be player’s health. Stone’s back has caused him problems all year. It’s just a coincidence he needed to be placed on LTIR the moment Eichel and Martinez came off it and that he healed up exactly on game 1 of playoffs. Vegas can’t be blamed for doing what’s best for their player’s well-being. 😏

Of course, but you don’t need to get expensive contracts to make yourself go over the cap. There’s a difference of playing fair, and attempting to stay under the cap, and buying guys and purposely making yourself go over for the playoffs. If you shipped some guys out, and get some back I would be totally fine with that.

In this scenario, Vegas just lost their star RW for an unknown 😏 length of time. It’s only reasonable they replace him with a likewise star player. That’s just fair. It’s not Vegas’ fault that luck shines and Stone is healthy come May 2nd.
