Ahh you right, apologize for the lack of brain power at this hour

Was it like a 1st 3rd and prospect?

No worries, happens to all of us sometimes.

Yep, nailed it. And slightly more to take Scandella back. If this was last season, you might be able to inflate the price. This season is a buyer's market, there's loads of other options for any team looking for a solid LD. Nobody is going to be held up for a rental this time.

Well... nobody with a working brain. There's always Jeff Gorton.

Absolutely not, that is highway robbery, and for the 317th time, re-signing conditions are NOT allowed anymore.

And if this is what Anaheim expects, screw 'em, we'll go get Soucy for worlds cheaper.

damn where did i say resigning conditions i must be missing it
Its a sign and trade type situation which is allowed
    Also Soucy Underrated

It's not a sign and trade when you openly say you'll pay a fee if he re-signs. But whatever, that price is outrageous in this market. Several other options that are cheaper, if not also just as good.

What would you say then for the slightly more for taking Scandella back?

I suppose, Army would most likely add in another B- prospect. I'd be inclined to agree with him, depending on which prospect. Something like...

    A 1st, a 2nd (one a '22, one a '23, Anaheim's choice which is which), Ellis and one of Alexandrov/Washkurak/Loof sounds about right.

Im pretty sure its a grey area like you tell him and ANA he well pay more if hes has an extension in place before the trade happens but your dont say well pay if he resigns with us
pretty sure its ok if hes extended before the trade

Tempting for that 2023 1st because you never know, but you do know that is a Bedard guy in it so a sliver of a chance there is fun

True, but the way goalie prospects go, two is better than one. And I'd be fine with giving Loof.
