Seattle says absolutely not, how do u justify Smith for Driedger?? Arizona is also not taking of 2 cap dumps AND retaining salary on Kessel for a 3rd rounder.

TBH I meant to add a second I just forgot but I don't see how the oilers would pay more than barrier, smith and a second for another struggling goalie and solid dman, barrier and soucy value are equal IMO, barrier provides something seattle doesn't have, soucy provides what the oilers need, difference is just money but seattle isn't contending soon and its only an extra 1.75 mil

Barrie for Soucy is fine. Yes Driegder is struggling, but he has far more upside than Smith. Smith is a totally negative asset because of his age and the fact that he still has 1 yr remaining on his contract, they will have to pay to move him. Seattle may take the 2nd rnd pick straight up for Driedger, but somthing would need to be added for them to take Smith back.
