Realistic offensive depth moves

Description
Move Kakko and Kessel on the depth chart pending who is hot.

Goodrow should probably be a 3rd line player on this team, but rental options push him down to the 4th line just for this post season push.

I think this gives more potential scoring touch to the 3rd line without ruining team identity or future. And this 4th line can definitely show offensive flashes when they aren't masquerading as the 3rd line.

Right now, the Rangers are only consistently producing offense on two of their lines. That won't work in the playoffs. While yes, Chytil and Kakko are injured, neither of them were doing amazing in their roles prior to their injuries. Inserting Brassard and Kessel while keeping the strong chemistry 4th line in tact should round out the lineup nicely (for example, I really didn't think the Chytil/Goodrow/Whomever pairing was working really well before the injuries).

Brassard was scorching hot earlier in the year. Hopefully playing with the Rangers again could keep that flame going. Kessel is still racking up the points. I think these are low risk moves that won't change the identity too much, if at all. And again, relatively zero future implications, whereas some other rentals could require too many future pieces. I think these two rentals would be easily acquirable (Kessel is rumored to be currently shopped around at 50% retention for a 3rd round pick, according to Puck Empire)

There is also plenty of cap space to acquire a "real" backup goalie if NYR thinks they need one. I didn't bother with this move, because who knows what that market could look like with other playoff hopeful teams looking for an actual #1 goalie...
Trades
1.
NYR
  1. Kessel, Phil ($3,400,000 retained)
  2. Wedgewood, Scott
Additional Details:
ARI receives Georgiev who they can use in a 1A/1B role next year with their young goalie, to see if more playing time can improve Georgiev's game and trade value, or if they ultimately decide to keep him. Optionally, this trade happens before the deadline, and ARI decides to flip him to someone else for more picks anyway before at the deadline, with retention if needed. His value is really low right now, but he definitely played better with more playing time in the past.
ARI
  1. Georgiev, Alexandar
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
NYR trades the lower of the two 2nd round picks (NYR/STL)
2.
NYR
  1. Brassard, Derick
Additional Details:
PHI has 3 defensemen signed for next year. They get a solid 3rd pairing defenseman that can help groom any young offensive minded defensemen they may have or acquire, in exchange for a player they are allegedly shopping around. Nemeth is definitely not awful, it was just a bad signing on NYR's part given their cap situation. This gives NYR a playoff rental while also freeing up space for the future.
PHI
  1. Nemeth, Patrik
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Provided PHI is not on Nemeth's M-NTC. If not, this trade would just be for whatever pick(s) necessary. Regardless, NYR can still add a pick to even it out, if necessary (reflected by the 3rd rounder).

That third line is still garbage with Brassard and Chytil, theyll get eaten alive in the playoffs.

Flyers have zero interest in Nemeth. Why trade for a ****ty third-pairing defenseman with a $2.5 cap hit when they could sign one just as bad for $900k?
