If MTL cant get rid of their big contract...

Price, Petry, Gally, Armia, Drouin and Byron.

Even if they wish to finish last to draft Bedard...

Wont happen because Price and the rest...

Even without them, they win to many games...
So they will stand between 13 and 26 in the ranking next year.

That beeing aknowledge, they will try something.

Sign 2nd line centerman and 1st RD...at free agent time.

To do that they need to move contract.
Wathever the return, of course you try for the best but..

Its a big possibily, but keep in mind that free agent market this year, team dont have a lot of space, so salary wont be crazy as seen before.

Also big possibility to get rid of Weber contract by Nashville because if retirement with other team , they will have to pay, so having cap space, a trade to get him back against "nothing" or not much is plausible.

You don`t have the CAP space.
Suzuki will make $7.25M next year
Romanov will resign for approx $2M+
Rem Pitlick needs to be resigned probably at $1.5-1.7M
Lehki needs to0 resign at approx $2.8-3.0M
and you need to resign Georgiev & Edler

With some reserve (sorry for my english)

-Webber need to be move and its possible so minus 8M...if not , of course forget all of that fantasy planing.
-after lets say 5M more for Lek, Pit and Romy...goergiev and edller bye...
-i think i can...buy out and/or trade one if not two of the big salary (Petry/Gally,Armia,Drouin) nowing that ill need to pay futur pick and retain salary to make it possible.

The whole idea here is that if Price play next year for the Habs, try to go for it, if not they will finish 10th and continue to stall.

And keep in mind...my proposal are impossible but its a base to draw a future plan.
