Players I want to see on the Island

Created by: Kyle_Okposo_Lover
Team: 2021-22 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 13, 2022
Published: Mar. 13, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
All for next year. Just some ideas.
Trades
1.
NYI
  1. Lindholm, Hampus
Additional Details:
Free Agency/Late Round Pick at Draft to get his rights
ANA
2.
BUF
cant happen but he and Wahly are besties so it would be sick for their bromance to become a reality. Maybe in a few years
    3.
    DET
I think he will be moved this offseason. Price is low and hes young. I think his game could flourish if we move Bailey and he fills in for the middle 6 with a defensive focus. and again, he will be really cheap
      4.
      VAN
I think that he would fill in really really really well with Nelson and Beau.
        5.
        VAN
I mean him with Barzal.... nasty. We could easily move a ton of assets for him. His value seems to be very low right now though. So I could see a move with our 1st (pick around 8-10?), 2023 top 16 protected 1st, Bailey and Aho? Maybe a bit more? lmk below
          6.
          VGK
wont be able to re-sign this offseason (most likely). Lou would never offersheet but I mean a 3 year 4 mil deal where we give up only a 2nd would be great.
            7.
            WPG
Never gonna happen but if they do decide to retool and he somehow is one of the odd men out, we could explore this . Price would be very very very high but a deal with Raty, 1st and some other assets could work everything out well
              8.
              NYR
Obviously we will never trade with the rangers but he is someone I would want. Price has never been lower and he could be insane if given a real opportunity

LMFAOOOO. Zadina plays more than 5 more minutes a night and has played like 8 more games. he has played like 40 more career games. Islanders need wingers with elite talent. Wings need defenseman. There quite literally is no need for Zadina when the wings have a desperate need for LD

And have you noticed which linemates Zadina plays with most frequently?
Yes Zadina does also get some time on the PP, have you watched Detroit's PP? If the 1st PowerPlay unit isnt on the ice theyre almost more likely to concede a short handed goal, and thats not on Zadina he is the only real player on that unit that shows some compete and moves his damn feet.

Look, Yzerman is quite smart and I do not think he would sell low and given the fact that he was able to hit on so many players like Point, Kuch, Cirelli, Czernak, Seider, etc, I don't think he will move someone like Zadina. That said, if he were to be moved I would want him. I think that a player like Brannstrom for Zadina with some other pick swaps in there is far more likely.

LMFAOOOO Zadina aint a prospect anymore first of all. Matheson and Pettersson arent going for nothing. this aint NHL franchise mode lol. And you have 2 defenseman. Seider and Edivinsson. And I am by no means calling Edvinsson a bust and he will not be, but he isnt a #1 guy. He is more likely a low level 2 or really great 3. Hronek is fine. Thats truly it. There is a need for depth and a #4. Zadina is not needed. And he is way worse than wahlstrom lmfao

Take a look at Under 21 defensive scoring in the SHL.
Spoiler, numbers 1,2 and 3 were drafted by Detroit in the last few years.

You might want to check your math Zadina has 1:25 more minutes a game and he has played 7 more games. According to your roster there are 11 out of 14 players that can play wing on the Islanders and 6 of them have more points than Zadina.

Now I have to ask are you really LMFAOOOO because it would be the only thing you got correct in this post.

                Points per 60 min
                Wahlstrom: 2.01
                Zadina: 1.41

Wahlstrom has a 52% expected goals %, Zadina 46.26%. Wahlstrom is currently a much better player in every aspect of the game

Yes, yes I am LMFAOOOO. Even more now. And making fun of the islanders roster doesnt help your argument LMFAOOOO.

And also he has 2 mins and like 37 seconds more per night... go to hockey reference. Its 12:43 for Wahlstrom and 15:22 for Zadina. Not you blatantly lying about their difference.

                Nice job bud

Here ya go, it's actually very easy. If you select different NHL rosters and go to the 'in the system' tab you can really easily view other team's prospect groups.

His Ice time is 14.12 this season on hockey reference. Go back and read my posts I'm talking about this season and thats because this is the 1st season since they were drafted that the 2 teams have been close in the standings. You keep saying Zadina has more games but he has also been on a much worse team. Yes Wahlstrom has better numbers playing mostly on the 3rd line with 2 very good lines in front of him. Zadina has been on the 1st and 2nd line mostly and has been on the 3rd some since Vrana's return. So who going up against the other teams better defensive units.

LMFAOOOO IM SORRY WHAT. Wahlstrom plays with with new linemates every night, not playing consistently and has played most of his games with JG Pageau, Zach Parise and Ross Johnston. Im glad he is playing against other teams 3rd lines cuz hes playing with our grinders. Also not sure if you have ever watched the islanders, but we dont match like that. We send out top 2 lines on the ice when in the offensive and neutral zone then the bottom 2 when defensive zone. So just about every single one of his shifts starts from in our own zone.

None of either of our points changes the fact that Wahlstrom has had better numbers in the league on less ice time, less games and worse linemates ALL while having WAYYYYYY better advanced and projected stats (expected)
