Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Somewhat of a stretch but some plausible moves. Lots of trading up in the draft and getting lucky with Bedard. Trade Dallas and Calgary 1st to move up and grab Jiricek. Some of the contracts are pretty unmoveable (Price, Gally, Savard) so keeping them. Not sure what the cap space would look like. Shedding a lot of cap but also bringing in Tuch Dumba and Zadorov, not to mention signing Caufield and Romanov and also Suzuki’s contract kicking in. Kind of a blank canvas for the new management let’s see how they handle it.

No ones giving up a 1st for petry. Buffalo isn't trading Tuch. Drouin definitely not worth a 1st

Dallas doesn't need Petry and sure isn't giving up a 1st for him, And why would Tampa want Drouin back? And even JBB isn't surrendering a 1st for Drouin who has no future in Tampa.

I saw rumours of Petry to Dallas if Klingberg gets traded. Not exactly sure what the price tag for Petry is with his contract but I think a 1st is still the right value for him.. Other than the first 40 games of the season he’s been solid for the habs ever since they traded for him. In terms of Drouin Tampa might not be the fit for him but as a expiring contract next year I think he could be worth a first and implemented in a contenders top 6/9.
