Not to be rude or anything but I'd like to know why. All the other jets fans I've seen have liked this deal. What should I change?

Canucks need to get a first back for Garland for sure. Don't think they'd do it with MP in the deal though. If you switch him out with an expiring contract, we've got something.

Its been reported that VAN is intrested in Marino and Pettersson so I added pettersson because it made more sense for PIT. The only player that could work other than Pettersson is Kapanen

Yeah, fair enough. Van just already has two LHD in their top 4 signed till the end of time. Don't know that they need a $4M guy in the 5 spot. But I hear you, I wouldn't be surprised if JR made that deal.

Yeah I mean it makes no sense but that's what was reported whether it makes sense or not. I just don't think the pens are willing to move on from Marino

Sorry… was running late… where was I…

Jets don’t need a future goalie. We need an RHW and RHD that is within a year of NHL play time.
Hellebuyck is likely walking at the end of his contract, so the Jets have 2 years to go all in… no reason to waste assets on anything not immediately helpful, now.
We can draft our own goalie prospect
