What I like about this approach is keeping left shooting d on the left side (excluding Brodie who I think is more comfortable on his opposite side than anyone in the lineup, maybe one of the best in the league)… Most trades I have seen to improve the Leafs D, have Sandin on the right side. I think Sandin is awesome but the Leafs in my humble opinion only improve if you can bring upgrades on D and keep Sandin on the left side… that is why I struggle with the potential of Giordano, he can make the leafs better but what will the pairings end up being? All the combinations I can come up with with have Muzzen or Sandin on the right or Liljegren in over Sandin and I don’t know if the net gain improves the leafs that much… anyways I like that your recommendations consider this… I have very little knowledge on if the deals are too much or too little, but I do like your pairing considerations.
