Chiarot isn't a top pairing LHD, No use for Chiarot. Suter would probably be a healthy scratch over Veleno and signing Trocheck makes Suter expendable. You missed signing Zadina.

yes forgot Zadina. I think Suter is a decent third line centre, and if Veleno takes his spot could be traded for a pick, maybe 3rd round. Trocheck makes them that much stronger down the middle. Also Detroit right now doesn't have the luxury of having a top pairing LHD, Chiarot fills that void until Edvinnson is ready, kind of playing the Marc Staal role.

I'd take chiarot on that deal. He's more a 2nd pair guy but he's going to improve this group.
