Saddly, I don't see Hughes blowing it up this offseason.

Petry showed some willingness to stay and his family will soon be back to MTL now that COVID seems to be a problem of the past. I believe he stays.

We can't get rid of Armia and Hoffman - The only real possibility is probably Arizona whose got 7 UFA that probably won't resign to play in a 5 500 seats arena. So decent NHLers with term would probably be welcome... just to be able to ice a NHL team.

Drouin will be traded at TD. It is a contract year... I'm expecting a crazy season from the guy. If healthy, I see him getting 0.80 PPG until TD and fetching a first round pick.

So we will be tight on the cap until TD.

With Price`s situation being dicey, I expect the habs to start the season with 3 goaltender to share the load. Allen and Montembeault will carry the load that CP won't be able to play.

Habs are gonna lose the Lottery and pick at #3 missing out on Wright and Cooley... they will end up picking Nemec to fill the need at RD. Won't be a popular choice, but Nemec will flourish in a few season (hopefully, just like Seider). They might take Juraf Slafkovsky... but I believe we have a bigger need at RD. ( LW can always be found in FA... great RD, not so much.

Our future Dcore will look like this:

Ghule - Nemec
Romanov- Mailloux
Harris - Barron
Norlinder - Xhekaj


I expect them to pick a lot of forwards for the rest of the draft.


AS FOR LAVAL:

The team will look absolutely stacked.

Ghule will start in AHL to have an extra transition year. No need to rush him. Let him dominated in the AHL, then he can make the move next year.

Same for Barron.
