Habs Fixed

Description
With the #1 overall pick, the Habs will draft Shane Wright. He goes into the lineup immediately, most probably starting as a winger, but then eventually settles as the team's 2C. I am projecting for Price to never play again, so the habs have a lot of wiggle room. Also, please note that the contracts given to the minor guys are just random numbers. it'll obviously vary from player to player, was just lazy

I think one of Hughes' first moves in the offseason is off-loading Petry to Dallas. We take on a lot of their bad cap space, they get a klingberg replacement and they can upgrade their team in FA with the remaining cap they saved.

The point is to kind of stink again and aim for another top 5 pick, cause you never know with Bedard. I made one key signing for the future in Burakovsky, and Letang too to make up for the short-term cap space. Otherwise, the goal is to waste another year of drouins, byrons and allens contracts so that the habs can make a huge FA splash in the 2023 off-season (Huberdeau???). Goal is also to stockpile as many prospects & draft picks. Not only to find gems, but for trading assets aswell for a few years from now.

Finally, habs need to unload in the 2022/2023 season before the TDL. Hoffman, Gallagher, Anderson, Savard & Edmundson need to be considered. Not saying get rid of all, but if the price is right, u need to do it. We're gonna suck for at least another 2 seasons, but that's fine.

If you're lucky the Pens might give you Brock McGinn back for Armia, but I can't see them sending out anything of consequence to pick up 3x$3.4M of a winger who struggles to score double digits points the past couple seasons.

Pittsburgh wouldn't take Armia off of waivers. They are not giving a 5th for him and certainly not Lindberg + 5th

Yea its only speculation. He just doesn't have a spot on the team anymore. Any trade involving him leaving is a win for the habs. no significant piece is coming back
