Winnipeg has Wheeler, Laine, Ehlers, Connor, not to mention 6-7 good forward prospects. Why would they trade for a high salary forward and give up a stud young D man?

Winnipeg remained consistent in that if they were going to move Trouba, they wanted a left shot young defenceman that could immediately play in they're top 4, a prospect and a draft pick! They do have interest in upgrading the goalie situation but it is highly unlikely that they would need to 3 step that process!
