doesn’t make sense from the isles’ perspective to deal mayfield for barrie unless barrie can reliably and consistently for the life of his deal play on the left side. with dobson and pulock already on the right they can’t be taking on big money for a guy who’ll play on the third pair

I get that now. I saw Lou saying how the Islanders need to upgrade their offence from the blue line and assumed that Barrie would be a fit.
