Description

Jackets get a 1st round pick to help further their restart. Boston gets Nyquist who is a clear upgrade offensively to Smith. Jackets retain 50% to make the deal more cap friendly. Boston also receives Bemstrom who still has some potential but needs a change of scenery.

The Seattle trade sees the Kraken get a young cost controlled RHD and the Jackets to get some needed picks to continue the Restart.

Nyquist is a nice player, but I don’t think the bruins should be moving their 1st in 2023 for him. With the way their prospect pool is they should do anything possible to keep it, but if they do end up moving it I would hope it’s in a package for a more impactful player for their team. Like I said, Nyquist is a nice player but he’d be behind 63 and 71 if he stuck at LW. They should be using that 2023 1st to find the next 1/2 Center

Boqvist gets a better quality return than that. If we move boqvist its got to be for part of a top 6 C package, we have enough picks already. I love the Gudbranson signing. He is one of my top targets for this team in the off season.
