Im not joking, Erik Karlsson was on track to probably be first overall in this class but injuries set him back (all though he had a solid year this past season), Josi in my opinion is overrated because he is not very good defensively, Drew Doughty injury problems over the last several years dropped him down. Spurgeon came into the league in 2010 and has been really good basically every year both offensively and defensively. I don't look at who's just the best now or team accomplisments

is spurgeon good, yes. but he's never been an in the norris conversation yearly defensemen (likely won't), unlike everybody you put below him, who have all multiple times been in that conversation
