I assumed the plan was to let the team go out next season be around .500 at midseason and then scape goat Cassidy and fire him. Then Sweeny and Neely buy themselves another year. Im shocked they canned him now. No idea what they're doing.

Got the sense he lost the room. Maybe Bergeron’s decision was based on whether or not Cassidy was getting fired. And Debrusk might stay now.
