Keiths contract is from the previous CBA. CHI, the original signing team, gets the recapture penalty, and the team he is on not only removes his cap hit but gives them a recapture bonus of like $3.9mil, or something like that. If you do a quick google search you can probably find some articles about how it works in more detail. But that is essentially how it works.

And I'm a hawks fan who is agreeing with that assessment. It is 100% true.
