Canes pass. You could drop Morrow and they still pass. You're not getting Necas for a rental. He doesn't do anything for the team. There are enough pass-first guys here.

He just put up a 99 point season, Any team would love to trade for him with that kind of production, So they would trade for him with giving Miller a contract extension.

Yes, because Carolina is renowned for extending players. They've signed 3 contract extensions since Dundon took over. Teravainen, Svechikov, and Kotkaniemi. You can throw that out the window. Plus, this still doesn't make him a fit for the roster. Pastrnak (assuming Boston are set to tank like it's looking like they might for the first part of the season at least) is a much more natural fit given the need for an elite goal scorer. Miller is fantastic, but this is not going to work for Carolina.

1) Morrow has put up similar developmental numbers to Makar. Doesn't mean he will be Makar, but he is developing at the same rate.

2) Necas isn't going to be moved for a rental.
