I believe if Keith retires (sounds unlikely), the Oil get almost 9 million in cap room through some convoluted cap measure. If that were to happen, I feel it is almost guaranteed that Holland puts up the money for Kane (for better or worse). But for whatever the rumors are worth, sounds like Smith is a potential retirement, but not Keith, at this point.

Look as a Leafs fan, you don't want Campbell at 5.5, it screams buyout in 3 years. I think a better deal would be in a 3 year deal at that cap or a 4 million dollar deal at 5 years. Cheers!

Ya I doubt Keith retires(also read that the extra cap room thing but that was so odd to me)

I agree on what he should get but looking at the market(and I’d guess kuemper back with avs)he’ll likely get overpaid
