He didn't like the Edmonton media. He and his wife Kelly loved it in Calgary, however, so it's not like he has anything against Canadian media in general at all.

Or it could be the fact that he did not play that well. He had a good season in 2017 but 2018 was a different story. Maybe Edmonton media called it like it was. I’m not saying he was a trash goalie…just couldn’t find the form that “Edmonton media” have seen him play in the past.

I’m pretty sure they liked the city of Calgary better not the media. Every Canadian market digs deeper into bad play versus American media is more relaxed to bad play.
