Description
Well, you want Bedard? This should do it.

Devils get a star scorer with a sound 200 foot game.

Sabres get a strong RD that provides veteran leadership for a young D core.

Rangers get an elite offensive player that can take their offense to the next level. The Rangers remind me a lot of the '09 Blackhawks. Young team that fell short in the conference final. That 09 team got Hossa and it worked, can Kane provide a similar spark to get the Rangers over the hump?

Calgary clears $6M ish in cap space while really losing one roster player. Can this move help them re-sign Gaudreau and Tkachuk? If Lucic doesn't want to be in CHI, hawks can flip him. Same with Monahan (Although I think Monahan just wants to play for his next contract more than anything).

Toronto gets their cap dumps taken care of and two decent players back that are both under 25 years old, can this be some more consistent scoring depth?

Again, hawks can flip the players with NMCs/NTCs or buy them out. Financially, I expect this team to be near the floor the next 3 seasons. I don't expect the buyouts to be much of an issue. In this scenario, around $25M+ comes of the books next offseason (Retention, Lucic, Monahan, Kubalik, and Connolly).

Buffalo says no, Murphy isn’t worth a first, even before the concussions.

Even though Chicago takes the double barreled dump of Monahan and Lucic, I’m not sure Chicago receives a 1st pick for Toews.

Toronto will probably say that’s way too much for Strome and Dach. Especially when they know we don’t want Strome.

5 players on the taxi squad? Will there be a taxi squad? Im not sure that is realistic.

Murphy is a top 4 shutdown RD, Buffalo has young team that needs leadership and experience on the back end. Murphy would be a great add for them at the cost of a late 1st.

Both of those cap dumps likely cost a 1st on their own, not many teams are looking to eat salary.

Toronto is dumping 2 really bad contracts and also gaining ~$2M in cap space for younger supporting pieces up front.

Taxi squad or buried in the minors, what's the difference? I put them there more to organize my post than anything else. Pretty irrelevant.
