Rangers decline instantly. Not given up a future 1 pair strong shut down D man, teams future 2c who found his game in the playoffs and a 1st in a loaded draft. Miller would be a straight rental. Rangers can't afford to resign him with their cap. Pearson at 7.3 mill per is already over what the Rangers have for cap space. Rangers are loaded with LWs anyway. They have 3 fight for the top 3 spots and 2 more can't misses coming up.

As a Canucks fan, I'd love it if this trade would happen, but no way that Rangers accept, as they are taking up more cap and getting 1 year of Miller (since they probably won't be able to resign him) as well as trading a future top pair D in Schneider, Chytil who did well in the playoffs and their first next year.
