The Nemeth trade doesn’t have to be exactly for that return and it can be to anyone willing to take the salary.
The signing salaries and years also aren’t exact there’s about $750,000 left over if a guy or two needs a little bump in salary to make them signing more realistic.
Othman can be replaced by Cuylle if he isn’t ready out of camp.

It won't cost that much to move the Nemeth contract.

I dont think the Rangers would do a 7 year term with Copp.

Yes you may be right on both points. As I put in the description the cost/return for nemeth and years on the signed players don’t have to be exact. Just looking to see if the community thinks the outline is there and this team is feasible with the cap.

Nemeth got a 4th at the deadline like 2 years ago making more cap than he does now. Dude probably gets a 5th or so no need for a sweetener or retention.

This is bare minimum cost to shed Nemethis. NHL is capped out, way better options than him.

Ghostbear cost a 2nd/7th last offseason and he had a $4.5M cap hit over 2 years. Nemeth will cost nowhere near that.

And there is more cumulative cap space this off season compared to last off season among all nhl teams.

This scenario offers a late 2nd & Nemethis for an early 5th, a jump from pick 125 to 55 yet nobody wants him on their D. So many dumps available throughout the league, plus his mntc. This is bare minimum cost

GM’s arent the smartest people and they value veteran presence so there will be a GM that would take him on and maybe even give a 6th for him. We will find out soon enough.
