Think you may be way undervaluing Ovi

Backstrom would probably go before Ovi, though if you really wanted to blow up the team, you could trade both Backstrom and Ovi and keep Kuznetsov instead. Even with that I don't think that Oshie is staying in DC.

I think this trade has Ovi overvalued. When comparing trade value I almost put these two equal.

Pavelski has a much better cap hit, produces near the same points the past few seasons, better defensively, good faceoffs. Not to mentioned shows up more in the playoffs than Ovi.

Obviously Ovi's past goal scoring, hitting, and pure star power appears to make him a better trade chip. But I think to San Jose may rather keep Pavs at the lower cap hit.
