Sounds like Murray is coming to Toronto, per Friedman. Also, he speculated that a third team could be involved. Possible way it could work out:
- Ottawa trades Murray to third team and retains 25%. Apparently this was the amount they were going to retain in the nixed Buffalo trade. The deal sounded like OTT and BUF would swap #7 and #16, with OTT retaining 25%. That cost probably translates to a 2nd or maybe 3rd round pick, which would go to the other way to this third team.
- The third team retains 50% of the remaining contract, Toronto gives up a pick (probably at least a 2nd based on the OTT & BUF trade). Maybe they thrown in a roster player to make up the difference if they don't want to part with such a high pick. I'd like to trade Holl in a deal like this, not sure how other teams would value him though.

- OTT 25% @ $6,250,00 ($1,562,500)
- Third team 50% @ $4,687,500 ($2,343,750)
- TOR 50% @ $4,687,500 ($2,343,750)

Doesn't seem like they are eager to move on from Muzzin. I Would like to see an upgrade on D but I wonder if they wait until mid-season to see if Muzzin still has any game left after a down year.

Maybe Kerfoot gets moved, but I don't see how you replace what he brings for less money. Perhaps they use that room to further improve goaltending because any tandem with Murray and whoever they can sign with the remaining money is incredibly scary for a contending team.

Strome could probably get more elsewhere. Not sure if the chance to play in his "hometown" and possibly resurrect his career on a good team would be enough to get him here.
