I heard that exact rumor floated because they're looking to dump space, so that's what I went with. Good chance the CHI is an overpay, given the packages they got for Debrincat and Dach, so the TOR deal could be Kerfoot for Robertson and two 3rds and that almost assuredly gets done.

Not interested in Kerfoot or Kane (at that cost). In the end NYR are just throwing away a lot of futures with minimal improvement- and can't see this team coming close to the Cup...might not even make playoffs. There are much better ways to put a foot forward toward building a contender for next year and beyond.

I get that there are other options out there to Kerfoot and Kane, but saying this lineup is a "minimal improvement" for the Rangers is straight to ludicrous speed, and "might not even make the playoffs" should get you committed.

LOL... I'll give you the point that the playoffs statement might be a bit over the top- I mean not fair to comment on that until we see the moves each team makes...but there are many paths to build this NYR team upon to open up a contention window- I just don't see expending premium assets on a mega star whose production is due to fall off a cliff as one of them. And Kerfoot- don't know exactly what he did...but he seems to be a guy that many TOR fans want to unload in their push forward. I've seen NY teams (esp the NYR) too many times go for the big name...when in fact there are much better options available.
