The answer to replacing Miller isn't outside the organization, it's within. You don't even replace him with a single player, you replace him with having the younger guys develop and take steps in their game as they mature. In the Canucks case, Pettersson, Hughes, Hoglander, Podkolzin etc.

The Canucks don't need Miller to make the playoffs next season. Miller isn't the type of player franchises build around considering his age. They will go as far as their younger guns (Pettersson, Hughes, Demko, even Horvat) can take the team. It's simple as that
