What, why would a rebuilding team give up picks for player that isn't attractive? We just signed Athanasiou and Domi at only $3M for 1 year (both left wingers mind you) without giving up any assets only to flip them at the deadline for assets. You don't seem to understand that the team isn't using assets to acquire players, they are simply signing UFAs to turn into draft picks.

And the news came out this morning Kane isn't waiving for now. Speculation is he wants to see who's competitive and determine if there are a couple places he wants to play. His cap hit also goes down as the season wears on making him more affordable to other teams.

Everyone knows the Hawks are tanking, which is EXACTLY why they aren't paying other teams to take on their dumps; it's quite the opposite.
