No one in the league is giving you a 2nd for Pettersson. You’ll be lucky to get like a 5th but I think you’ll have to pay to move him

It’s so funny, I once did a ACGM trading Pettersson for a 3rd round pick and all the teams fans said “it’s a bad contract”.

I then did another retaining just 750K and making Pettersson contract 3.25M. All their fans were ecstatic. Saying “we accept”, “good deal”. He’s making 4M per. That .025 is just 25K..lol.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have 9 defensemen under contract right now and it looks like that both Marino and Pettersson are on a trading block. Both are legit TOP4 defensive defensemen in our eyes. Ya, they are gonna have to pay to move a defensive D-man, that’s only 26 years old, signed for this season and 2 more, on a decent contract at 4M per. He’s 6’3, long stick, long reach, plays physical, a plus(+)47 for his career, has playoff experience, moves the puck well(look at his assists every year), and has good analytics. Literally everything NHL GMs look for.

Maybe a little surprise that Pettersson is so high in this ranking. But he deserves to be there in our eyes. He was really, really good defensively this year. It's unbelievable for us that Sullivan didn't use him at PK much more. Underrated defensive defenseman for us. pic.twitter.com/VCdPEMZZUt
