Gotta think Vancouver isn’t willing to take zucker on without being paid to do so and this deal doesn’t have that.

I think the 2nd round pick is the compensation more or less. Miller for Marino + 1st is pretty fair value IMO.

Miler isn’t bringing back that kind of return without an extension. He’s great: had a great season. But he’s a one year rental.

I see Marino and a 1st or Marino and a 2nd. Again, unless he comes with an extension or an agreement to resign.

And Zucker is on an expiring contract. I don’t see the Pens moving him or Dumoulin. They are both useful players and the Pens cap room next offseason. Both are on expiring contracts.

All these Vancouver trades for Miller and Marino, Kappy, a 1st and a 2nd. I just don’t see a one year rental bringing back that kind of return. Even one as good as Miller.

And at the deadline it will be less. Probably a late 1st, a prospect and a mid round pick.

He might though. I’ve definitely been wrong b4. I just don’t see a one year rental getting that kind of return.
