No everything will not be ok. We will not trade Pettersson for a random draft pick. Two trades later and we are sitting here with 9 defenseman just like we had when the day started. We sent Marino away to acquire an older RHD and we sent our best skater on the whole team away in the process.

With this front office my guess is ERod or Heinen will come back and that’s going to be a wrap. Get ready for another one and done with a worse team than left the ice

Honestly I wonder if the problem was Rutherford. He left PIT on his own, he wasn't fired. That may have left a bad taste in PIT ownership/upper management's mouth to the point where they decided they weren't going to trade with him. VAN and DAL owners both hate each other apparently, so maybe a similar deal there.

Otherwise I don't see how VAN wasn't all over this. VAN knows Marino, need a RHD and have top-9 wingers or freaking JT Miller to burn.
