Seriously I don't get the desire to move a 24-year old top 4 D locked in at a fair number for 5 years in order to keep a 32-year old 2C who's probably gonna get worse throughout the contract.

It's probably a little Cup-drunk love but also the fact that they saw how bad things were in the playoffs without a 2C the previous year; Naz would likely have made a difference had he not, you know. But the team has grown since then and they have other options than bringing back a guy who is well on the older side and sacrificing major assets to do so. Love the guy, he was huge this year but it's time to let go and not make any stupid decisions or moves in order to "run it back."
