If Tkachuk gets traded, would the Flames just do a fire sale? If so, I think the maple leafs should strongly consider trading for Chris Tanev. While yes I know they had one of the best defences this past year, why not improve it further? Idk if this is a deal the Flames would accept (esp with Amirov's health in question) but if TML want to retain Sandin as well, I think Tanev would be a fantastic partner for him. The leafs improved their bottom 6 enough this free agency so that should suffice. Muzzin was traded bc I feel like he's on the decline and would be needed to match salaries with Calgary. The only question mark is that 2nd line LW spot. I'm not as high on Robertson than most, but who knows he could easily breakout this year especially with a great couple seasons in the AHL and goal scoring ability he possesses.
