This is actually interesting. Can't see either team pulling it though due to both wanting to compete and being rivals. I do love the value though

Vegas would do it if they are going all in, which is just Vegas being Vegas. The Canucks lock up a core 3C in Roy who is a perfect fit with our forward group, land a talented prospect who's coming into a great Russian environment now in Vancouver (Podkolzin, Kuzmenko and Mikheyev are fellow countrymen) with a high ceiling and a pick in this fabled draft. I think it helps out both teams just fine, depending on how much the Canucks like Dorofeyev.

Just can't see how Vancouver will do it just yet, they'll wanna wait it out and try and compete first. Maybe a deadline move, not a pre season move
