    overpay IMO. Plus, I don't like that Marchessault isn't protected. Leave Jokinen/Jagr unprotected and save Sceviour/Marchessault. Probably lose a defender in Petrovic/Pysyk/Demers.

    Leaving Marchessault unprotected is plain dumb. I'd protect Trochek, Bjugstad, Smith, Huberdeau, Sceviour, and Marchessault as forwards. I'd expose Jokinen and MacKenzie as the forwards under contract. Jokinen will not be picked, $4m for a 34 year old winger is too steep. Exposing Jagr, a UFA, is not a risk as he chooses where he wants to play next year.
