I saw this idea on other posts. I think trading de haan is a good idea, as he will most likely be taken by vegas in the expansion. Might as well get something for him if we are going to lose him. I don't know the exact value of this, so i just kinda guessed.

I don't know if this happens, but it could be an easy way out of a potentially disastrous contract for the Islanders. They have to protect other players and can't afford to waste protection on Clutter, clearing major cap space allowing for other free agent signings. If things were to happen this way, it could turn out well for the Islanders. But with Garth Snow handling everything, nothing at all will turn out well for the Islanders.
