Thumbs down on all 3 trades.

Giving up Jankowski is not worth dumping Bouma's contract–for Gudas as the return, no less. If you wanted Provorov, that could justify it (note that he'd still play on the middle pair, as Brodie is better on the right side despite being a lefty).

Rangers most likely say no, as I envision them wanting a bigger return. In particular, adding Poirier does little to sweeten the pot, especially with him having spent most of the season on personal leave.

Minnesota also says no; as cash-strapped as they are, they'll drive a higher asking price for sure.

I also see a problem in exposure at the expansion draft - By adding Nino, you expose either Ferland or Lazar. If you do I believe the one exposed will be picked up by Vegas.

Gudas will cost way more to get out of Philly. They are unlikely to be looking at even moving him.

Because of Minny's expansion draft problems, they may look at the deal for Nino, but I think they will want a young prospect that is exempt from the draft, not one to add to their list of unprotected players (not that Shink would likely be snapped up by Vegas if on Minny's roster). They would argue for the price, take a "lesser" forward. You want Nino, pony up.

I keep on pencilling in Nilsson. The question is whether he is really a number one or not. I think someone will be ready to pay #1 dollars for him, and if that is the case, he isn't going for $1.15 Mill. This is a tough one. If he is the right guy, then you need to offer north of $2.5 mill. But if he isn't ready to be a #1, then he will be too expensive. BT would take some heat for trying an unproven #1 and not having it work out. The goalie problems need solving, not extending. Having said that I keep putting him in my lineups, but for $2.5 mill.

But then again, I am trying to find a great cheap goalie because I keep "suggesting" that Tavares can be had. And his cost is $10 mill per season after next year.
