Brutal on both trades with the assets being given up, I wouldn't mind Larsson, but the duo of Sandin and Muzzin are much more valuable than Chychrun who'd be stuck playing 2nd pair

The value on the Larsson trade is decent, but from a roster construction standpoint I don't think it makes much sense for Seattle, as they're a team trying to improve this season and Larsson is the anchor of their defense right now. The Kraken won't be looking to trade him anytime soon.

I think it'll take another piece, whether it's a high draft pick or good prospect, on top of your proposed package to pry Chychrun away from Arizona. Sandin is a solid player with room to grow, but Chychrun also fits that description and is clearly the better player right now. Plus I feel Sandin might be a bit overvalued in these proposed trades, especially considering his contract deadlock with the Leafs.

Also, did I miss something with Muzzin? I thought he was healthy, but is he actually going to be out for a while?
Orango liked this.

Very well said, agree exactly with what was said. Also, no you didn't miss anything, Muzzin is healthy and will start the season. I think the OP only did that to make the cap situation work.
