Edmonton has no use for Drouin

I see a lot of EDM fans wanting Drouin to match with McDavid/Draisaitl

Hyman, Hopkins, and Kane Foegele (If not moved before season starts) Shore for LW
McDavid, Leon, and Ryan, and Janmark for C
Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, Bourgault for RW. I guess he could play RW. But their would have to be a few moves. Such as putting Ryan at 4C, scratching Shore putting Yamamoto at 3C and Puljujarvi at RW3 and Drouin at RW2. Or you have Yamamoto at RW2 and Drouin at 3C.

I was into the idea of adding drouin but I think that ship has sailed. Doesn't make sense given oilers current roster and absolutely wouldn't create a hole on d to add drouin who wouldn't even be guaranteed a top six role also the cap would be a massive factor now. Oilers have to pass possible talk on deadline drouin for a pick type of trade If health becomes a factor in Edmonton and someone unexpected is ltir.

NO EDM do not need Drouin. And the teams that do are in full tank mode. So they have no interest in becoming better. As strange as that might sound to some fans

Barrie might be put on waivers. Really neither guy has much value if any with the cap squeeze. Trading either at this point, you'd have to pay to dump otherwise you have been asleep this Summer
