        Additional Details:
The Flyers move into the 2nd round and get out three years early on both Hayes and Deslauriers, but retain over $2M on Hayes. The three-year window allows for Philadelphia to pay that retention while Bedard and Gauthier play out their ELCs.

        2. Hayes, Kevin ($2,392,857 retained)
        3. 2023 5th round pick (PHI)
        Additional Details:
During the 2023 NHL Draft, the Ducks bring in veteran support for their young players. Deslauriers comes back to Anaheim to provide grit and protection over the kids, and 3C Kevin Hayes will prove to be a worthy leader in the locker room. Hayes is now healthy and tallied 31 points in the 48 games he played last season.

          Niko Mikkola

During the 2023 NHL Draft. Realistically this could be any team, but I see Montreal potentially being interested in Mikkola and strengthening their defensive depth.

We just let Des walk (even traded him out) I don't imagine we change our minds on that, and you guys gave him the bag. We signed Vattrano and Strome to be the veteran locker room leaders after Henrique, Silf, and Fowler.

Higher draft picks go out for young talent, not guys who will be nearing their mid 30s when our window opens.
