Sorry you're not cap compliant, What the hell are you going to do when over $20,000,000 worth of players coming off IR and LTIR and you only have $45,000 in cap space.

This is for opening day so it is cap compliant and FYI IR counts towards the cap. Dahlstrom and Benn will be put on SOIR and when they are healthy they will be waived and sent to the minors. I’ll let Brandon Pridham and Dubas make the moves when Engvall and Liljegren are healthy and ready to be activated. Who knows maybe someone else will be on LTIR by then.

engvall and liljegren arent out long term, so you're probably still moving 3.5mil+ in first/second week of season, within first 5 games, so might as well do it prior.

It works to start the year assuming engvall is on LTIR. I assume the thought process is let’s not make a move until we really have to. If someone else gets hurt enough in the first couple weeks to go on LTIR then they won’t have to make a move.
I assume and hope they know what trade they can make to get under the cap if everyone is healthy.

And it’s not over 20 million on LTIR. Muzzin and JT are still counting against he cap with this roster. Cap relief only for the LTIR players
