I like the idea of going after Grubauer but I'm going to guess you're not a Sens fan.

1. Smith isn't getting traded for scraps. He has a pretty big role on the team. One of our main penalty killers and has played on virtually every line for us at one point or another.

2. We wouldn't trade Methot to Vegas so they don't take Claesson. If Phaneuf waives his NMC we protect Karl, Ceci, and Methot exposing Claesson anyways.
